The Oak Alley, Louisiana has it's share of ghost and strange experiences. Although the B&B is not the actual mansion, you can tour the mansion during your stay.

Wyndham Tutwiler Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama is said to be haunted by Colonel Tutwiler. Some time ago, a bartender was reprimanded for leaving the lights and stove on in the restaurant after closing. The bartender insisted he had turned off the lights and stove but whenever he'd give the room on last look before leaving, everything was turned back on. He had finally given up and went home. This activity went on every night for a week. On the last day, the manager came in the next morning to find someone had cooked a large meal and taken out a bottle of wine. On that day, the employees of the hotel began to tell Colonel Tutwiler, "Good night Colonel, and please turn the lights and stove off, and don't make a mess!" They haven't had a problem since.

Cresent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas is said to have a number of haunted rooms. Room 218 is the spot where Michael, an Irish stonemason, landed when he fell from the hotel's roof during construction. His ghost is said to bang on the walls and turn lights and television on and off. Rooms 202 and 424 are also said to be haunted.

You don't need to stay in a haunted room to see a ghost at the Crescent Hotel. Outside of the Recreation Room, the ghost of Dr. Norman Baker often appears, looking a bit confused. He ran a controversial hospital and health resort in the building during the 1930s. A nurse, dressed in a white uniform, has been seen on the third floor of the Crescent Hotel. A woman in Room 419 introduces herself as a cancer patient to guests and housekeepers, then vanishes.

In the lobby of the Crescent Hotel, look for the ghost of a man who hangs out at the lobby bar or stands at the foot of the staircase.

Hotel San Carlos in Phoenix, Arizona In 1928, a woman named Leone Jensen went to the roof of the hotel dressed in an evening gown. Said to be broken hearted over the lost love of a local bellboy, she jumped from the roof to her death.

Since that night, guests have reported odd breezes, ghostly noises and the pale shadow of a woman floating in the air.

The hotel also rests on the site of the city's first school, built in 1874. The sound of children running and laughing is often heard, even when no children are checked in at the hotel.

The Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado, California has been the site of a haunting told in the classic Legend of the Beautiful Stranger. While this story has been reported many places, the legend as currently told is, in fact, inaccurate. The new story has been developed through actual conversations with the young woman herself at the Hotel and over 2 1/2 years of comprehensive and detailed historical research. There are many at the Hotel Del Coronado and the documented experiences past and present are many and varied.

The actual "haunted room" is 3327 (which was room 302 in the original hotel room numbering system).

The website is www.hoteldel.com
