Perhaps one of the more documented hauntings online, newspapers, books and TV is the Toys-R-Us ghost (Johnny) in Sunnyvale California. This particular story has been shown on the 1970's TV show "That's Incredible" as well as "Sightings", etc...
From what BIM has been able to determine, back in the early 1900's, the property that the Toy's-R-Us is currently on was a farm. One of the farm hands, "Johnny Johnston" (Who was considered mentally slow), was out chopping wood by a well. The well is where the Toy-R-Us stands today. Evidently Johnny hit his own leg with the axe. His body was later found at the well having bled to death.
According to some of the information, there was a group of investigators that had a ground radar system sweep the floor of the Toys-R-Us and found a void that would indicate the well is near the back aisle and restrooms of the Toys-R-Us. This area is said to be where almost all of the reported strange happenings take place.
An investigative team gained permission from the store manager, back in the 1970's, to conduct a paranormal investigation. A local California psychic by the name of Sylvia Brown and a few professional photographers (from Alpha Labs) were among those present. A seance was performed and during the investigation, two types of still cameras were used (A black & white film camera and an Infrared camera). A picture was taken from each camera focusing in the same direction at the same time. The black and white camera caught the image of the group conducting the investigation. The Infrared camera caught something extra.
